FHF Speaks at Rotary

FHF speaks at Rotary
March 2017

The Friends Helping Friends Club (FHF) was invited by Rotarians Al McCall and Jack Fricks to speak about the organization during one of their March luncheon meetings.  FHF Yearbooks and 2017 FHF Friends Main Events Calendar flyers were distributed and then a short video was shown featuring Representative Tom McCall praising his daughter Katie's founding and continued involvement with the club and his heart felt endorsement of the young service club.  Pictured are Al McCall, Sandy Adams (FHF Club, Inc. Pres.) with ECCHS FHF Officers Committee Members Michaela Brown, Allie Brown, FHF Alumni Friend Drew Saxon, Mallory Smith, Bryce Bowen, Brianna Vaughn, Dayna Drake and Rotarian Jack Fricks.

Bud McCall Scholarship

~ In Loving Memory of Bud McCall ~


Scholarships ($17,435 each year or $8,718 per semester) are awarded to students who are (GVRA) Vocational Rehabilitation clients pursuing post secondary education.  This scholarship will empower and support individuals with disabilities in their pursuit of education, training, and career development, ensuring that the McCall family's vision of providing inclusive and equal opportunities for Georgians with disabilities endures for generations to come.

Scholarships ($500 each) are awarded to qualifying ECCHS FHF Senior Officers Committee members and Alumni FHF members pursuing a degree or advanced degree in Special Education, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or any other such career track specializing in helping children and/or adults with special needs.

Dye-Hard FHF Scholarships

A special Thank You to Mecole Hardman, Jr. for providing numerous Dye-Hard FHF Scholarships each year in memory of former Elbert Co. Blue Devil, Clemson Tiger, & FHF Alumni, Tyshon Dye.  This scholarship is presented to recipients by Mecole's mom Danyell Hardman and Tyshon's mom Peggy Dye.  Tyshon was a wonderful Friend who is greatly missed.

FHF Memorial Scholarship

The Rebekkah Sinclaire Curlee FHF Memorial Scholarship is awarded to an FHF Senior Officers Committee member who exemplifies outstanding leadership and Friendship.  This scholarship is provided by Bekkah's  mother Tracy Coley and Bekkah's grandmother Wanda Coley.  Bekkah was EC Middle School's social butterfly in Mrs. Chrystal Thomas's class when she went to heaven in 2013.
