On December 9, 2023, the Georgia Business Journal (GBJ) publicly announced that Friends Helping Friends Club, Inc. (FHF Club, Inc.) was selected again as a 2023 Best of Georgia Winner in the Charitable Organizations category.

At the end of the event Mecole made a surprise announcement that he was

donating $25K!

During the 2022 FHF Club Pageant Super Bowl Champion Mecole Hardman, Jr. was recognized for helping the organization generate over $37,000 in the last two years.  Jeff Adams presented Mecole with an FHF Outstanding Friend plaque in appreciation of his ongoing support to Friends Helping Friends Club, Inc.

During the 2022 FHF Pageant Tom McCall (GA Farm Bureau President) recognized Craig Camuso (CSX Regional VP/State Government) on stage as his wife Jane presented Craig with an FHF Outstanding Friend plaque in appreciation of his generous contributions totaling $24,000 since 2014. Sandy Adams (FHF Club, Inc. Founding President) also presented Jane with a lovely basket designed by Kreations by Kathy at McIntosh Coffee Shop.  (Tom & Jane introduced Sandy to Craig at Georgia's Capitol during their annual FHF trip in 2014.)

NDEAM Proclamation 2013

Elbert County Schools was proud to support National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). Held each October, NDEAM aims to educate about disability employment and celebrate the many and varied contributions of America's workers with disabilities. During Career Transitions Seminars at Elbert County High School we engaged in a variety of activities to educate our teachers, parents and students on disability employment issues as ECCHS Work Based Learning Coordinator, Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, work training institutions and businesses provide valuable information about available options in

pursuing post-secondary education,

career training, and careers.
