Jeff Adams presented Mecole with an FHF Outstanding Friend plaque in appreciation of his ongoing support to Friends Helping Friends Club, Inc.

During the 2022 FHF Pageant Tom McCall (GA Farm Bureau President) recognized Craig Camuso (CSX Regional VP/State Government) on stage as his wife Jane presented Craig with an FHF Outstanding Friend plaque in appreciation of his generous contributions totaling $24,000 since 2014. Sandy Adams (FHF Club, Inc. Founding President) also presented Jane with a lovely basket designed by Kreations by Kathy at McIntosh Coffee Shop. (Tom & Jane introduced Sandy to Craig at Georgia's Capitol during their annual FHF trip in 2014.)

Elbert County Comprehensive High School (ECCHS) teachers Kachina Rucker, Cherish Ingram, Don Hurlburt and Daniele Franklin, GVRS Board Vice-Chair Tom Wilson, GA HSHT Coordinator Karen Royston, GVRS Board Chair Jimmy DeFoor, GVRA Chief External Affairs Officer Katie Womick, NE GA HSHT Regional Outreach & Program Coordinator Sid Jessup, and Friends Helping Friends Club, Inc. President / GVRS Board Secretary Sandy Adams (Master of Ceremony) participated in the first annual Northeast Georgia High School High Tech (HSHT) Awards Luncheon on April 17th at the Cateechee Golf Club Ballroom.

NDEAM Proclamation 2013
Elbert County Schools was proud to support National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). Held each October, NDEAM aims to educate about disability employment and celebrate the many and varied contributions of America's workers with disabilities. During Career Transitions Seminars at Elbert County High School we engaged in a variety of activities to educate our teachers, parents and students on disability employment issues as ECCHS Work Based Learning Coordinator, Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, work training institutions and businesses provide valuable information about available options in
pursuing post-secondary education,
career training, and careers.

Our very own Katie McCall, ECCHS Friends Helping Friends Club (FHF Club) Founding Student Officer, was recently selected during her senior year at ECCHS to serve on the State Superintendent Student Advisory Council for Georgia!

State Representative Tom McCall (Chairman of the Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities) recommended, and Governor Nathan Deal appointed, Mrs. Sandy Adams of Elberton as one of nine to the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation (GVR) Services Board of Directors.
